Can Dogs Eat Oranges?

Safe

✅ Generally safe for dogs

Yes — peeled orange segments are safe for most dogs in small amounts, though the acidity puts some dogs off and upsets sensitive stomachs.

Orange flesh is non-toxic and vitamin-rich; many dogs simply dislike citrus. Feed peeled segments without seeds — the peel and pith are hard to digest and concentrated citrus oils can irritate. Diabetic dogs should skip citrus sugar. Clementines and mandarins follow the same rules.

How to serve it safely

1–2 peeled segments for a medium dog is plenty.
